Boardwalk Holocaust Memorial, Atlantic City

International competition, 2010

Framed by the ephemeral structure, over the sandy beach and further on to the ocean and the horizon, echoes from across the Atlantic. Cantilevered, rusted steel-mesh triangles, like mirage-masses – a memory. Scaffolds for a hopeful, perhaps possible, regeneration in time. Undidactic, open to different readings; a place for contemplation.
