Following the murder of a teenage girl by an extreme orthodox during a pride parade near this historically charged square at the city center, the competition was aimed at commemorating her, along with other goals. The sculptural, circular multi-purpose structure clearly defines the irregular space and introduces scale to it, providing seating, shade and illumination, as well as audio-visual infrastructure for its vibrant happenings.
