Jaffa 23 Art gallery, Jerusalem

in the central post office building, 2010

This unique, 9.5 meter clear-span hall was discovered and reclaimed after years of neglect, during which it was divided, its beams hidden by lowered ceilings and its windows sealed in order to serve as a phone company switchboard. Once the original space was restored, minimal finishes, lighting and acoustics were introduced, as part of the 1,350 Sqm renovation of an entire floor in this enlisted landmark.
