house on the lake, ramat-gan

Competition, 2019

The challenge here was to add significant dining and storage space for this late-modernist lake pavillion in a national park, while preserving the character of the elegant but derelict 1960's structure. This was attempted through a structural reinterpertation of the 'ship', as well as a new 'harbour' structure acting also as an accessibilty ramp, ispired by the timber scaffolding used to erect the pavillion at the time.
