Guggenheim helsinki

International competition, 2014

The site between the wooded hill, the harbor and the city inspired an urban forest scheme; a built slope holds the main galleries, while the treetops above provide unique spaces overlooking the surroundings. Thus a continuous, open ground level is created, allowing an uninterrupted pedestrian flow, integrating the museum with the city.
